Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd.’s and Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd have ownership of a number of cruise ship brands, and they now have permission from the Cuban government to offer cruises to their country. The first cruises to Cuba will be offered from spring of 2017. This is significant because Norwegian is only the 2nd cruise company in the last 50 years to have such approval for cruises to Cuba – Miami-based Carnival Corp. & plc was the only other.
Seven Seas Mariner— part of Norwegian’s Regent Seven Seas fleet, will set sail for Cuba on March 7th, 2017. In part, Norwegian has decided to offer cruises to Cuba due to the very high levels of demand from their customers.

This is truly a dream come true for me, and I cannot wait for our loyal guests to experience the sights and sounds of my hometown of Havana and get to know its rich culture and its warm and welcoming residents.”
Norwegian has a fleet of 24 ships so you can expect more than one cruise to take place to Cuba next year, but itineraries for other cruises have not yet been decided upon.
